Does XERF cause fat loss or make my face thinner?
It's designed not to. XERF tightens the skin and its support rather than reducing fat. Any sharper look comes from firmer skin.
Does it hurt?
Most patients feel warmth and pressure, slightly stronger over the jawbone and cheekbones. We adjust the intensity as we go.
When will I see results?
Some tightening shows the same day. The full result builds over about three months.
How long does it last
Results vary with age, skin and sun exposure. Many patients plan a yearly maintenance session.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Often, yes. Skin boosters pair well when you need both firmness and hydration. Your doctor will plan the timing.

How is XERF different from Thermage?
Both are monopolar radiofrequency treatments. Thermage uses a single 6.78 MHz frequency; XERF adds a second 2 MHz frequency designed to heat deeper tissue. Neither suits every face, and your doctor will recommend based on yours.
XERF or HIFU: which is better for me?
HIFU, such as our Doublo, focuses ultrasound energy on precise deep points. XERF heats broader areas with radiofrequency. HIFU often suits fuller faces needing a deeper lift; XERF suits slimmer faces that need firming without volume loss.
Is XERF safe for Asian and darker skin?
Yes, it's suitable for all skin tones. It works through heat rather than light, so the risk of dark marks is lower than with lasers. Your doctor still sets the energy for your skin.
What are the side effects of XERF?
Mild redness, warmth or slight swelling for a few hours is common. Blistering or burns are rare and mainly linked to overheating, which is why a doctor sets and monitors the settings.
Is XERF FDA approved?
XERF received US FDA clearance in 2025.
